Home Run Derby

Step into the batter’s box and swing for the fences in Home Run Derby. This game gives you a series of pitches per round, with bets anywhere from 1.00 to 100. Before each one, you pick a direction to swing – left, center, or right – and if you’re correct, you’ll hit a home run that wins you a payout, displayed as a Multiplier. Miss, and the round is done. You can Cash Out between swings whenever you want, or try to ride the streak for up to 19 consecutive home runs and hit the Max Win of 50,000x. 

The voxel-style stadium is a nice setting for the game, as there are palm trees past the outfield, floodlights blazing, a crowd in the stands, and a commentator who calls every result. The audio is mostly bat cracks, whooshes, and crowd noise.

What Happens on Each Pitch

You get 3 arrows on the screen – left, center, right – and you tap one before the pitch comes in. It’s all randomized, so you’re really just guessing. The commentator calls the result either way, and if it’s a home run, the Multiplier on the scoreboard ticks up.

The Cash Out Decision

This is really what the game comes down to. After every successful swing, you can either take the current Multiplier times your bet, or go again. The longer you wait, the bigger the payout gets, but you’re also one miss away from walking away with nothing.

19 Swings, 50,000x Max Win

The maximum number of at-bats in a round is 19, and the Win Limit per bet is 50,000x. Both of these numbers are on the scoreboard. If your Multiplier gets to 50,000x, the game will cash you out on the spot, and you’ll walk away as the MVP.
