Animal Rhapsody

Animal Rhapsody is played on a 5x3 grid with 30 paylines. The key mechanic here is the Synced Reels, which mirrors identical symbols across two or three neighboring reels. In base play, this happens at random and in portions of the reels, but during the Free Spins Round, this mechanic goes further. The screen changes to a nighttime view of the village, and columns 2, 3, and 4 are permanently synced for the entire round. 

Visually, you’re in a cartoon European-style village, with stone walls and a castle poking up above the rooftops. Animated animals take the premium spots – the Dog, Chicken, Cat, and a couple of others that award some impressive payouts on the reels. The J, Q, K, and A are at the bottom of the paytable.

Free Spins

When you get into the Free Spins Round, columns 2, 3, and 4 are synced for every spin until the feature is done. The backdrop goes darker too, which gives the round a different feel. Because those columns are guaranteed to match, there’s a much better chance of paylines connecting – particularly when the outer reels cooperate as well.

The Sync Mechanic

In base play, you never know where the sync mechanic is going to kick in. It’s a random guess as to which spots on neighboring reels will mirror each other. It could be on reels 3 and 4, or even a wider set like 2 through 4. The group is always made up of reels next to one another, though, so you won’t get them spread out.

Wild

There’s a Wild that can appear anywhere and covers for standard symbols. Where it really helps is when the synced group has already taken care of the middle and the Wild patches in on reel 1 or reel 5 to complete a payline.
