You’re revved up, in the middle of a hand, and ready to make a move. Then you suddenly get disconnected. Not cool.

But don’t sweat it. Ignition’s disconnection protection software, which identifies poker players who have been disconnected from our game server, has you covered.

Protection for Cash Games, Sit & Go Tournaments, and Jackpot Sit & Go Tournaments

Whenever you are disconnected during a hand while playing online, Ignition’s software will detect your situation and will provide you with extra time; you will be given an additional 30 seconds to act. If you reconnect within this timeframe, the table and/or tournament you were playing in will reappear automatically (if it isn’t already open).

Heads-up: if you don’t act within these 30 seconds, your hand will check/fold. The only situation where you’re given extra time to act is if you’re disconnected from Ignition’s poker software.

Some more things to know about the disconnection policy at Ignition:

• Say there’s a delay but it’s not on Ignition’s end. No matter what the reason is, and you don’t act in the specified timeframe, your hand will be folded.

• If you’re in the middle of a hand and disconnection happens on your turn, the disconnection will make the system automatically check for you if no other player has bet. But if other players have made a bet then it will automatically put you on auto-fold until you reconnect.

• If you are still connected but don’t make a play in time, all this protection doesn’t apply. You will time out of the hand and automatically fold. If this happens during a tournament, you will be placed on ‘Auto Fold’, and in cash games, you will be placed in ‘Sit Out’, until you come back to the table.

Protection for Scheduled Tournaments

The above disconnection protection policy is only in place when players are in the money and will only be used once per player per online tournament.
